Minimal Computing 101

Intro

La minimal computing constituye un abordajeque nos invita a pensar cómo crear, preservar y compartir producción digital utilizando menos recursos, mayor conciencia y agencia y prácticas más sostenibles. En lugar de asumir que las infraestructuras más grandes o las herramientas más complejas generan automáticamente mejores resultados, la minimal computing propone replantear nuestra relación con la tecnología: ¿Qué necesitamos realmente para hacer nuestro trabajo? ¿Qué podemos construir o mantener desde nuestros propios contextos? ¿Qué posibilidades se abren cuando reducimos dependencias técnicas, adoptamos estándares abiertos y diseñamos sistemas transparentes, resilientes y accesibles? Este sitio funciona como un punto de entrada para investigadores, docentes, estudiantes y personas interesadas en explorar estas preguntas con relación a las Humanidades y específicamente a las Humanidades Digitales.

Minimal computing constitutes an approach that interrogates about how we create, preserve, and share digital scholarship using fewer resources, greater care and agency, and more sustainable practices. Rather than assuming that large infrastructures or more complex tools automatically lead to better outcomes, minimal computing invites us to rethink our relationship with technology: What do we really need to do our work? What can we build or maintain within our local contexts? What becomes possible when we reduce technical dependencies, embrace open standards, and design systems that are transparent, resilient, and accessible? This site serves as an entry point for researchers, educators, students, and practitioners interested in exploring these questions in relation to the Humanities and the Digital Humanities
